Charlevoix: Lake trout have caught both trolling and jig near the bottom around North Point for 75 to 120 feet and when the jig is close to the cement plant for 100 feet or more. Cisco is still in the channel but in lower numbers. A few were caught in the early morning by people using Swedish pimples, past masters, and spoons. Large freshwater drums, a few small bass, and strange walleye were also caught in the morning using lures, cows, and artificial leeches. A large number of alewives have moved into the channel on weekends and have been caught on spoons.
Lake Charlevoix: Has good small bass action, with some good-sized fishes are taken.
Traverse City: Cisco and some bass were captured in East Bay and Song Thong. Bass and a few walleyes were caught in the Elk. Several lake trout have been caught in the 18 BUILDINGS COLD AND HOT COLORS Shirt, Tank Top, Hoodie, Sweater.
Leelanau Lake: Has produced some walleye south of the narrow.
Frankfort: Fishermen straight north and catch large numbers of 60 to 90 feet lake trout in 100 to 160 feet. A temperature break has been reported down 65 to 75 feet. Chinook was arrested on a rig early in the morning and at sunset.
Onekama: Boats coming out of the Bucket and out of the golf course catch lake trout for 70 to 90 feet, but the 18 BUILDINGS COLD AND HOT COLORS Shirt, Tank Top, Hoodie, Sweater.
Lake Portage: A blooming ephemera means slower catching speed. The warm weather pushed seabass, perch, and other fish into deeper water.
Cadillac and Mitchell Lakes: Bites will slow down with hot weather. Bass fishing on the water should be decent.
Manistee: A few Chinooks and some steel sharks were caught straight out on the Shelf and a little north for 100 feet with a spoon. Lake trout are caught along the bottom for 100 to 200 feet with spoons and spin-glo.

Lake Hamlin: There has been fair to good pike fishing. Panfish were in deeper water.
In the south end A lot of bounds of beautiful walleyes this week with lots of bigger fish (19.5 – 28) and walley cup (over 28). School of fish around the lake. From the Lighthouse and Morris Point Gap areas adjacent to Pine Island to Zippel Bay to the coral reefs and mud near Long Point and Rocky Point are both produced. Garden Island area also has beautiful schools. Going to the presentation is pulling spinners with a crawler or leeches at 1.0 – 1.3 miles per hour. Some anglers are doing a good job trolling the crankbaits as well as on the lead core line or downriggers. Beautiful walley schools are also held on the deep mud. Some are shallow, 7-15, others kept in 23 – 31. Forging yellow, yellow / glow, hot pink, and orange this week.
