For more than two decades, a Baby its Covid Outside Shirt Christmas tree farm in Siouxland has been planting lush Christmas trees for generations of families to enjoy.

Marie Bork said: “I think people are ready for Christmas.
While their Christmas tree opening date starts on November 25, Marie and Neal Bork work from early November to make wreaths and items on display for other holidays before entering their big Christmas season.
Marie Bork said they were surprised at how strong the Baby its Covid Outside Shirt farm has been over the years.
“We started planting trees in 1990 and this is our 25th year of tree sales. So 30 years ago, when we were young, we started planting trees. Our children were at home, they were married and gone. And we started it as a college fund to get them on their fun path. So we sold a few trees in the first year. And then in ’96, we started selling trees and it grew from there,” Bork said.
Country Pines Tree Farm has about 2800 trees on the land.
Bork said it was nice to see families go out instead of buying plastic trees bought at the Baby its Covid Outside Shirt store.
Bork said: “There’s something about smell. There’s something about families picking their trees together, bringing them home, decorating. You know it’s all about family,” Bork said.
She said it wasn’t just about the trees.
‘It’s the good thing about the Christmas tree season, for me to see families and people I don’t see every year coming, excited to be here to experience the Christmas season. And let’s be a part of their Christmas season,” Bork said.
Bork adds that these trees take about seven years for the tree to grow large enough for a Christmas tree.
