GIVIT donations for the Cupid’s Favorite Healthcare Worker 2021 Valentine’s Day Shirt week: air conditioning
A local crisis place that helps women and children escape domestic and family violence is in urgent need of relief from the summer heat. The facility has a maximum of 30 women, plus six women’s families with children. This is a haven, a safe place and a new beginning for women who have overcome great challenges to escape life-threatening situations. Many of them arrive in crisis with just their clothes on and a lot of courage in their hearts. The organization supports women with three meals a day, a comfortable sleeping spot and access to support services so they can start making new lives. With a very limited budget, the organization is seeking local funding with air conditioning units to equip common spaces, lounges, dining rooms and meeting rooms. Creating more comfortable spaces for women to connect, rest and recharge is essential for their safety and growth. All donations of room cooling equipment will make a difference in the Cupid’s Favorite Healthcare Worker 2021 Valentine’s Day Shirt lives of these women. The organization may collect donations. To make a donation, visit givit.org.au/donate-items, search the category “Air conditioners” in your local area to see the organization’s requirements.
