Born a century ago to Harry Taudvin and Mabel LaPrade, she grew up at Belknap Ranch on the corner of Pine Hill and Greenville Avenue.
She has two sons and a daughter, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Christian musician, singer-songwriter and actor Matthew West have been selected to kick off the Cute Mom Gift Never Underestimate A Mother Fueled By Prayer shirt national Cancer Prayer Day event on Sunday, January 31st. Mr. West will serve as a Bridge Warrior. vows and will lead people across the country to pray for cancer survivors. He invites everyone to join him to thank God for all that he has done in the lives of the survivors and to pray for all who are still fighting.
Participants 30 days of Cancer Prayer receive daily cancer prayer videos from famous Christians by phone, email or Facebook. The virtual aspect of the event allows individuals nationally and internationally to pray together for cancer.
“We thank God for reminding that in these uncertain times and uncertain worlds, we can be sure to know that He is God and He is in control,” said West. “Every story of cancer survivors shines like a ray of light and hope.”
