I’ve never been a Tab drinker, but it’s sad to see it disappear. Tab was Day Drinker NEw Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater introduced in 1963 and The Coca-Cola Company recently announced that it would stop making it by the end of the year.
Day Drinker New Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater
I remember a woman I have never seen without a bottle of Tab in hand and a Marlboro cigarette in the other. She walked around the house in those raw canvas shoes. She is forever engraved in my mind like the image of a Tab drinker, not the gorgeous, beautiful models they display in advertisements.
Tab was introduced to compete with Diet Rite, the Day Drinker New Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater only dietary cola on the market at the time. It is owned by Royal Crown Bottling Co., headquartered in Columbus, Georgia.
Both contain interestingly flavored saccharin, which can cause cancer or kill lab rats.
I hate when the Day Drinker NEw Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater product is gone. It was a paragraph that I did not expect.
Perhaps the saddest thing is when American products are no longer produced here. They still sell Gerber baby food, but it’s made overseas.
If you look at your clothing label, you will probably see that it’s not made here. The last men’s shirt maker in the United States was CF Hathaway in Maine, where they have been producing shirts since 1837.
I used to wear Bass Weejun loafers. I’ll put them down and send them along with $ 25 to the company’s shoe factory in Wilton, Maine, where they’ll make them like new again. The shoes are now made elsewhere, and their refurbishment has gone the way of Niken Coke.
I remember back then, a television was a large piece of furniture with a wooden console cabinet. There are stores that display the latest TVs in their store windows and even external speakers so you can watch color TV and wish you had one.
I spent some time at home during the early part of the pandemic. Daytime TV is now a series of chat shows alternating between ads for lawyers.
Years ago, I watched “The Young and the Restless”. Not many young people there anymore. I’ve watched a few episodes and found it doesn’t move too far from the old episodes in the past.
I remember someone she watched “Love of Live”. It is the story of Vanessa Dale and her quest for human dignity. I don’t know how much human dignity you can find in an hour on TV, but old Vanessa has tried. The show’s cast includes young Christopher Reeve, who plays Ben Harper.
If the choice is up to me, I think I would choose soap operas over chat shows. We currently have only four types of soaps in production.
