To further develop her capacity as an educator, Funny Humanities Teacher Humanities Major Student Shirt Ms. Lafrieda Nasir, 40, studied for a Master of Arts in Humanities Education (MAHE) provided by the National Institute of Education (NIE).

Ms Lafrieda, who has been teaching since 1999, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore, where she majors in English and geography with a focus on education.
A former senior teacher (humanities) at St Anthony’s Canossian High School, she left school in December 2013 to attend a full-time MAHE course.
The Funny Humanities Teacher Humanities Major Student Shirt MAHE program is designed to empower history, geography and social studies teachers who may need to respond to interdisciplinary perspectives.
It helps them develop important understandings of topics with a solid foundation of guiding philosophies, as well as how these philosophies can be applied to the study of modern social issues.
The courses offered to relate to Ms. Lafrieda’s teaching field, especially social studies.
She said: “Sometimes what we do as a teacher happens in instinct and I need to better understand why I do what I do in class – whether there is any theory to support it, etc.
“I also want to explore the reasons and reasons behind citizen education or social research.
“I want to make sure what I do is meaningful and I am clear about my goal of teaching sociology to my students. I also believe this will motivate me to go further in my career. ”
The Funny Humanities Teacher Humanities Major Student Shirt MAHE program is also for candidates interested in humanities education.
Having been out of touch with academic research and writing for a number of years, Ms. Lafrieda chose to follow subjects. She completed two main courses and eight optional courses.
Candidates can choose from any of three groups – Geography and Geography Education, History and History Education, and Social Research Education.
