None of us has experience, so we build our knowledge through books, the internet, work experience and study. Steven ter Horst Chocolatier has good news for chocolate lovers, with a host of Christmas classes being held this month at its new store on King William Road in Hyde Park. Classes last three to three and a half hours, and include a Baking & Chocolate class, where participants will learn how to make chocolate and make Christmas chocolate biscuits and truffles; one class Buche de Noel (the yule diary) and two layers of chocolate Christmas gifts. Gin lovers will have a chance to sample spirits from more than 20 distilleries when Gincident returns to the Hart Factory at Mill Adelaide. There are also cocktails from The Howling Owl, food trucks, main classrooms, live music, retail counters and games. It’s available from noon to 7 p.m., with a pre-sale ticket (here) priced at $ 25. Myer Adelaide Center is introducing a ground floor downtown Christmas market this weekend to offer CBD shoppers the opportunity to sample and buy SA cheese, wine, gin and chocolate. Never Never Distilling Co will offer gin flavors, with other producers represented including Woodside Cheese Wrights, Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, Sparkke Change Beverage and Utonic. The market will be open from 10am to 9pm on Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
