Well, not Bigfoot indeed. He kept away from society and thus avoided all the traffic the tourists were looking for him. Of course, he did it anyway, so that’s not a big change.

No, Bigfoot at Goldendale is 10 feet tall and heavier than a ton, so yeah, quite similar to the real size. He was created by Goldendale’s Barbra Ross. Ross has spent the past three years to sculpt this wonderful creature so that everyone can enjoy. He will have a long-lasting household in town, but The Sentinel is about to have a sneaky preview, as you can see in the picture.

But wait,-we’re going to call him Bigfoot, okay? Sure he got the name. In the annual publication “Journey Through Klickitat County”, The Sentinel calls him Gordon — not to be mistaken for Gordon Shumway, the aliens in the TV sitcom 80 “Alf.” But what do we know? This Bigfoot wants to be named by someone in the Goldendale community.

People heard about seeing Bigfoot in the west, but the characteristic Sasquatch appeared in the southern Oconee district.

The owner of Back in Time Antiques, James Morris added a sculpture of mythical creatures to the eclectic metal farm of his store in the city center of Bishop.

Morris explained that Bigfoot had been on his fortune for about two weeks.

“People have a fascination,” he says. “I sold everything from an 8-foot long-pink flamingo to a 6-or 7-foot long rooster”.

Morris, who sold antiques for nearly three decades, arranged metal sculptures in his store from neighboring states for suppliers in Texas and Mexico.

The town of Bishop has become a hub of antique shops. Some people call it “antique goods”. The oldest active business owner in Oconee County is Wallace Reed of Reed’s Odds & Ends off U.S. 441.

“I talked to most of the other dealers here besides an agent across the road [turning] to here,” Morris said. “Most of them are friends.
