A Fishers church is helping those who have just been released from prison to recover. The ITOWN church is giving away backpacks full of sanitary products. 250 of them will go out every season to get men and women back into their communities. This is the If You Can Read This I Was Forced To Take Off My Boots And Reenter Society 2020 T-Shirt first of four donations that the Church is making.
“We want to put these bags together to let them know” we are here for you, we love you “. We stand side by side with our friends at the Correction Department, ”Missions’ Pastor Mike Woods said. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance services so that men and women don’t come back.”

That’s why these backpacks also have information inside, like where people can buy groceries. Re-Entry supervisors picked up backpacks and brought them to the Plainfield DOC facility to distribute them to all DOC facilities.

A DOC program now puts people in shelters or hotels for quarantine before they return home or make other living arrangements if needed.
