Reid’s Orchard started to welcome larger-than-usual crowds after the recent weather change.
“I think everyone is ready for fall with everything going on,” said manager Katie Clark.
Reid’s Orchard is selling pumpkins – white, stackable, and Jack-o’-lantern varieties – as well as stockpiles of ripe corn, bales of hay and mother fruit. There are also caramel apples, apple dumplings and apple donuts – a new feature – as well as outdoor activities like corn maze and pumpkin patch.
According to CEO Suzanne White, Cecil Farm will not be able to supply pumpkins this year due to heavy rains, but the If You Like My Pumpkins You Should See My Pie Shirt farm still offers bouquets of flowers and vegetables.
Trunnell’s Farm Market offers pumpkins, mother fruit and about 30 different types of pumpkins and gourds.
On Saturday, the ranch will turn to fall attractions, including a corn maze, baby animals, wagon rides and “pumpkins straight from vines,” said owner Kevin Trunnell.

“We just invited people out to visit us,” said Trunnell.
Reid’s Orchard is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm. and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Masks are required indoors and recommended for outdoor use in case of close contact with others.
Trunnell’s Farm Market offers free admission from 10 am to 6 pm. Monday to Saturday and from noon to 5 pm on Sundays. The fall activities require admission fees.
