Splatoon 2 was released in 2017 as a family-friendly third-person shooter’s follow-up to Nintendo, where kids squid chasing each other around different maps firing paint from a series of less deadly weapons. The game regularly hosts a series of in-game events called Splatfests, which ask players a simple question that has two options and players pitted against each other depending on how they respond. These choices stretch from Ketchup vs Mayonaise to Chaos vs Order, and players who choose which side they will receive a shirt in the game during the event. Sadly, Splatfest was finally held in July 2019 and was a sad ending to a series of exciting events.
However, Nintendo announced via Twitter that it would revive Splatfests to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario. The event will take place in January 2021 and will make players decide which power they want to increase. The selections are two of Super Mario’s most iconic powers, the red and white Super Mushroom versus the Super Star. The mushroom increases Mario’s size and allows him to take an extra blow before he dies, and the star makes Mario invulnerable for a short period of time. In addition, Nintendo is selling some sweet cross-wear goods in the Mario Splatfest Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater form of T-shirts. Players can respond to their decision by purchasing a team T-shirt or team star.
Voting will take place in the game, as always, starting around Jan. Although the inability to defeat is a must-have privilege, the design of Splatfest Super Mushroom is too good to ignore. Players can also make their own decisions about which choice each person announces the star of Splatoon 2’s turn support. Pearl chose to support Super Mushroom while Marina stood by the Super Star.
While the last Splatfest of Splatoon 2 was said to be in July, it was neat to see Nintendo express the love of the series. Hopefully, Nintendo will continue to hold similar events in the future. Stopping the Mario Splatfest Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater release of Splatfests was considered the right choice as the series would eventually have to end, but reviving them for special milestones such as Mario’s 35th anniversary was a great way to extend the Mario Splatfest Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater game’s lifespan. Although players may not touch Splatoon 2 for more than a year, they will surely blow dust out of their cartridges for Super Mario Splatfest. …
