New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said he was enjoying a Tested Positive For Being Too Thick T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater drink outdoors at a bar when briefly in contact with his deputy chief of staff, who later tested positive for Covid-19.

The incident occurred on Saturday and the Tested Positive For Being Too Thick T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater governor was joined by his wife, Tammy Murphy, his communications director, Mahen Gunaratna, his wife and deputy chief of the governor’s office, Michael DeLamater, according to a spokesman for Mr. Murphy. Mr DeLamater tested positive for Covid-19 Saturday.

Mr Murphy said his interactions with Mr DeLamater did not meet the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention’s definition of close contact, but he and his wife chose to quarantine themselves at least at the weekend out of caution. The CDC currently defines a person in close contact as a person within 15 minutes or more of the infected person within a 24-hour period.
The governor tested negative for Covid-19 on Wednesday and planned to be re-examined on Saturday and Monday before continuing the live events, he said.
Daniel Bryan, the governor’s senior adviser on strategic communications, who was not with Mr Murphy on Saturday, also tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. The governor said all of his employees are currently working from home.
Mr Murphy said he and the rest of the group dropped masks while drinking on Saturday, a decision he defended on Thursday.
“There are no errors in judgment,” Mr. Murphy said. We’re outside drinking beer… We wore masks when we walked in, when we left, and even when we sat down before the drinks were served, we wore them for a relative period of time.”
