The Mount Clemens Santa Parade Committee on Monday announced the cancellation of the 2020 event after tracking developments since the new coronavirus first gained national attention in March. The music Witch Pumpkin Santa Claus Spiderweb Halloween shirt
According to event organizers, this was the music Witch Pumpkin Santa Claus Spiderweb Halloween shirt first time in the event’s 43-year history that the Santa Claus Parade was canceled.
Barb Dempsey, former mayor of the city who was leading the parade, said: “It took us a long time to come to this conclusion. “We really struggled with the decision when the committee was split. The team felt awful about that.”

The parade usually features a TV news reporter or local celebrity as the great marshal, along with many marching bands, elected officials, service club , clowns, buoys and other festivals all feature the appearance of Santa Claus.
But Dempsey says there are too many unsolved issues to continue. The committee waited until the last minute but quickly realized the event would not take place.
“We waited to see what the schools would do, if we had bands marching, but that didn’t happen,” she said.
“Some groups don’t meet because of COVID-19. We can’t get enough people. And the governor’s executive order is about limiting the number of people at a meeting – it’s just so we don’t do that year. ”
Due to concerns about the COVID-19, the V&T Railroad has canceled the Polar Express for the 2020 season. Instead it will be Drive-Thru’s Santa Village, a public holiday event, from the 11th December 13 and December 18 to December 24.

The drive-thru event will feature a dazzling light show and will feature Santa, Mrs. Claus and dozens of gnomes busy with work as they prepare for Christmas.
Visitors are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday pajamas and bring hot chocolate as they go through the Arctic experience.
The event costs $ 20 each and will start at 6pm. every day with the last bus being brought in at 9pm.
The event will be held at Eastgate Depot in Carson City.
Barkdull-Spencer continued: “This year, we are also introducing a virtual Polar Express package that allows guests to experience the magic of the train from their own home. “Our Driver vouchers and Polar Express packages will be great holiday gifts and will include all the mementos received on the actual train. They will also be available for pick up or shipping starting November 15.
