The world has lost a wonderful man this week, Jim Root, the man, the legend, the Old Man of Saint Joe. He inspired all of us to know him, when he left his moments and memory of a good life, he lived a great life, and he did everything he wanted to do, his family, and he was special for him. We’re all very proud of the man you and the legacy you left behind, the legacy of your family, the honesty, the hard work, the kindness, acceptance, the unconditional love of life and the circumstances.
He means a lot to a lot of people, in many different ways, like a man, a husband, a brother to some people, a father and an adviser for many people and a friend to everyone. The guide and compassion for so many people that there’s no wonder to meet someone, especially in St. Joe, that says happiness and success in their lives, at least a piece of Jim Root. Jimmy was supposed to go all the way to the earth to find his wife and best friend Stacie, and sacrifice his life for his children. He’s a wonderful Papa Root for his grandchildren, and he likes to let them in the woods with his funny stories and his endless clowns.

He grew up on a family farm in Edgerton and then enrolled in a short-term farm at UW Madison in five 1959. He started working in the construction of the house and then he moved to work for commercial work, ended his career with proud to work for JP Cullen. Some of his favorite work could say is to rehabilitate the west wing of Madison State and his last job was to renovate the Art of Coronado in Rockford, IL. You’re a member of Carpenter’s Local 314, Elk’s Lodge 254, and the zoning Board and Mission Town Bureau, when he was about to retire, he spent his leisure time on the ranch where he grew up and pulled his horse and pulled up. The retirement took you back to the family farm where you liked to go back to your farm. Jim was very involved in raising two of his daughters, Grace and Natalie. They are the light of your life and always bring a smile on your face. Jim was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and began teaching Grace and Natalie about it when he was two years old, Jim was a great husband, a great father and a great father.
