We talk about The Last Unicorn a lot on this site, because The Last Unicorn is awesome. But! Peter S. Beagle has done more! So when a Twitterer mentioned Beagle’s work, I decided to highlight The Innkeeper’s Song. The Beagle jumps through multiple perspectives to combine various missions together. Tikat pursues his childhood love, with whom he sees mages resurrected. Lal and Nyateneri, the mages, are racing to save their old mentor from his powerful yet cruel disciple.

This series is a fusion of fantasy and theology informed by elements of medieval Spanish history and mysticism, especially the reigns of Ferdinand and Isabella in the late 15th century. Curse of Chalion follows Lupe dy Cazaril, who returns home from the war and is enslaved to try to live a quiet life, but instead finds himself working to remove the curse placed on him. The royal family acted as her patron. A bit of epic, a little slice of life (fantasy universe, alternate), the series seriously questions morality and duty, not succumb to violence or hopeless despair. end.
Do you remember a previous Thanksgiving story about a grandmother and teenage Mesa who accidentally exchanged texts that led to the two families holding a vacation together for years to come?
She is Wanda Dench, and her husband, Lonnie Dench, has been instrumental in turning false text into a new tradition in Thanksgiving. Sadly, he passed away from the coronavirus. Look in the dictionary under the word “love” and you’ll find the names of both. “Muah! That’s what old people do! “Lonnie and Wanda said Thanksgiving was over when they kissed.
Since four years, the couple has opened their home and hearts with Jamal Hinton and girlfriend Mikaela, along with their families, on the Feast. thanks, after the accidental message Wanda sent Hinton for her real nephew in 2016.
The holiday will begin with Lonnie praying, followed by good things, and most importantly, lots of fun.
Just a few weeks ago, on March 10, Arizona’s Family correspondent, Briana Whitney, received a registered text message from Lonnie. Whitney had previously reported on text messages that accidentally started a new Thanksgiving tradition for the two families. Lonnie talked about how he delivered water to groceries at night, and about how seeing the Thanksgiving pictures in the past made him smile during so many people’s panic times. .
He didn’t know he was going to take COVID-19 just a few weeks later, and it would eventually take his life.
Wanda sent Arizona’s Family these words to remember her husband:
“He has the most sincere love, unlike anyone. He did a lot of deeds of kindness that no one had ever heard of. He’s my hero. And I’m a better person because of him. ”
Lonnie was the first person to greet people on Thanksgiving and the last to say goodbye.
Now, he leaves behind a community where gratitude is even a small part of his Thanksgiving. He’s a reminder in their world about what thanksgiving and sincere love are.
