Brian and Karen Schindler of Olmsted Township were watching their son’s dog, Moose, on July 4 while Mark was spending some time with his girlfriend Rachel Ullrich at her family’s Strongsville home.
Karen said earlier on the afternoon of July 4, the fireworks around their Woodgate Farms development had calmed down, but that they ended up getting a little bigger as they unfolded during the Courage The Cowardly Dog Scared shirt day.
“Moose doesn’t seem uncomfortable with the fireworks,” said Karen. “As it got dark, around 9:30, there were more fireworks so we went out to see them.”
The fireworks went off and they decided to check out Moose.
“He was extremely scared and ran around the house,” Karen said.
Brian decided to take him out with them.
“He tied him to a leash, opened the hip door and Moose just took off,” said Karen. “The chain burned Brian’s hand when Moose ran and walked away.”
Moose has definitely been relaxed.
They weren’t sure which route he took. Brian walked a line on Watkin Road while Karen, the Courage The Cowardly Dog Scared shirt other. Their visiting mothers at home try to help from that location. One of them spoke to Schindler’s neighbor, who posted on Facebook asking people to watch out for an escaped dog in that area.
“So I was running down the street – wearing flip flops – asking people if they could see him. They were continuously pointing in the direction where he ran. We crossed a series of streets. Fortunately, not many cars came out that night, ”said Karen. “I saw two boys riding bicycles and I asked if they could see him. They said they did but were unable to arrest him. So they took off to see if they could find him.
Jaxson’s grandmother saw the attack, but too quickly she couldn’t see the Courage The Cowardly Dog Scared shirt dog clearly. They believe it could be a medium-sized brown dog, possibly a hybrid terrier.
But without a good description, the animal control officers couldn’t look for it, Cassens said.
She said an officer Kennewick helped scour the neighborhood, but they couldn’t find it. She is contacting anyone in an area with a security camera that can identify the dog.
