It’s hard to imagine a year full of more administrative difficulties than 2020. Lumberland Town Council’s agenda for the November 12 meeting gives a summary of a variety of issues, large and small. It forms the Heroes Flag T-Shirt earlier challenges and decisions made in the new year.

At the top of the program is Local Law 2: Lumberland Town’s Solar Law. This has been postponed because it has not received documents relating to planning and impact statements. However, Dannielle Jose-decker’s attorneys point out that there are issues that she feels are important to solve.

“As most of you know, we have local laws regarding large and small-scale solar farms. Licensing is really complicated. What happens when you want to remove them? You don’t want to leave everything. Each project needs to have a plan and a deposit to fund it. Another thing is that the Heroes Flag T-Shirt terrain in Lumberland doesn’t really support large scale; but you need to have something on the books, in case someone wants to enter. ”

Later in the meeting, a key item on the Heroes Flag T-Shirt agenda related to the passing of Jose-Decker and attorney Michael Mednick replaced her. Deputy supervisor Leigh Sherman commented: “Good news for you, sad news for us.” His concern is the need for a smooth transition. Eventually, he proposed that Mednick be approved for a temporary period of time, which was approved.

Leigh has another growing problem that he feels the Heroes Flag T-Shirt board should take note of. Along with Don “Bosco” Hunt, the director of the highway, he inspected the bell tower atop the town hall; its lost years. The parts are in an enhanced state of decomposition. You and Hunt are trying to take down the tower and check it out. The board agreed to follow up in the spring. The historic glen spey house has been used as Lumberland City Hall since 1950.

The new business includes letters from Doreen Hanson, who invited Lumberland to collaborate with the Highland Township Hometown Hero Project. The town funded the program but was not financially responsible for purchasing the flags. The cost is $150; the family provided photos and paid for the town”.
