The Wappingers Center School district plans to reopen with the form of distance learning in the 9th month and start the “model-stage” switch student to a mixed schedule in Oct. The letter that Red Hook officials sent on Monday night said that “our back-up task force has worked tirelessly for weeks to create a plan that adheres to all the duties of the state of New York. Following the meetings today, we conclude that the most conservative action is to delay the direct opening of the Guide class for five weeks until Tuesday, Oct. 13.
“As educators, we face the hard work of ensuring continuous learning for all our students. Some safety requirements cause significant barriers to directly reopen them. Our expected school will begin on Monday, Sept. 14 in the remote Learning mode is only for all students. ”
One hundred twenty-three employees at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport are expected to be fired in October. The 19 other staff at Fairbanks International Airport will also be severance. Most of them are restaurant workers and services.
The staff management company both airports, HMSHost, has strengthened the staff at the beginning of the COVID-19 in March.
